Still Life: Loïe Dances (2018)
Still Life: Loïe Dances was commissioned by Jean-Michel Goury for Jean-Michel Goury and Friends Saxophone Ensemble for the 100th anniversary of Claude Debussy’s death. It was premiered in July 2018 at the 18th World Saxophone Congress in Zagreb, Croatia.
This performance is the U.S. Premiere of Still Life: Loïe Dances by the University of Michigan Saxophone Ensemble in Stamps Auditorium on November 14, 2018 at The University of Michigan School of Music, Theater, and Dance. The University of Michigan Saxophone Ensemble is directed by Dr. Timothy McAllister.

Elegy (for the Forgotten) (2022)
April 2020: Drone footage surfaced showing bodies being buried on Hart Island in a mass grave – part of a potter’s field for the poor and unclaimed to be used for victims of the Covid-19 virus. Hart Island has served New York City through several epidemics when the scale of death is unprecedented to its current generation.

Turning Tides (2019)
Turning Tides was commissioned by The RoseWind Duo (Clifford Leaman, saxophone, and Scott Herring, marimba). The work was completed in Potsdam, NY on September 28, 2019, and premiered at The Arizona State University on March 9, 2020. This performance took place on March 7, 2021 at The University of South Carolina.

The Madding Crowd superimposes spoken quotations and dialogue about civil rights from civil rights figures from (mostly) the early to mid 1960s over Carrie’s powerful montage of video images from the Civil Rights Movement of the 60s and 70s as a gentle ostinato and slowly developing contrapuntal lines gradually crescendo. Voices include James Baldwin, Malcolm X, Dorothy Height, Shirley Chisolm, William F. Buckley, Sidney Poitier, Charlton Heston, Fannie Lou Hamer, Marlon Brando, Harry Belefonte, and many others.
Dreamscape (2010)
Dreamscape reflects the illogical sequence of dreams – at least as we may remember them – after a sleep rich with a variety of imagery and emotion. This recording is of the premiere performance on February 23, 2011 in Helen Hosmer Hall, The Crane School of Music, Potsdam, NY by The Crane Wind Ensemble, Brian Doyle, conductor.
