I am beyond excited about this beautiful album of new music commissioned by my friends Timothy McAllister and Liz Ames for Neuma Records.
My Coda for World Peace closes this collection of encores, which will be available from all digital streaming services and Band Camp beginning August 15, 2025.
This album also features works by Wynton Marsalis, Adam Silverman, Ephraim Champion, Adam Schoenberg, Rob Buckland, Jennifer Higdon, Chihchun Chi-sun Lee, Andrew Bishop. Ellen Rowe, Joel Puckett, John Christopher Wineglass, Justin H. Bush, Iman Habibi, Lembit Beecher. Catherine Likhuta, and Sean Hickey. It is humbling to be among such wonderful company.
“We envisioned PROJECT ENCORE as a platform for music that defies convention,” says McAllister. “These pieces aren’t just add-ons — they’re gateways to discovering today’s most compelling composers.” Ames, a sought-after collaborative pianist, adds, “It’s been exhilarating to explore these works, each with its own story and emotional resonance. We hope they inspire performers and audiences alike.” Now spanning two recorded sets, Volume 2 (the Ann Arbor-based duo’s fifth album since 2020) adds to the 14 works on Volume 1.
